National Lineworker Appreciation Day is Monday, April 13!

Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative and co-ops around the country are taking the opportunity this month to honor the professionals who keep the lights on day and night, in all kinds of weather and conditions.

Most notably this year, lineworkers are an integral part of our critical work force during the COVID-19 pandemic as they ensure reliable delivery of electricity to member homes, farms and businesses.

Polk-Burnett employs 18 highly skilled linemen who work across 2,000-square miles of our service territory. Our line professionals span many levels, including apprentice, journeymen, superintendent and operations manager.

Anyone who has had power restored after an outage knows and appreciates the critical service provided by lineworkers.

We thank our linemen for their dedication to our members, and for putting safety first at work and at home.  #ThankALineworker

If you are on social media on April 13 (or anytime in April), consider taking a moment to show your appreciation for all lineworkers. Use #ThankALineworker in support of those who help power our homes and businesses.
