*IMPORTANT NOTICE - Improved Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Process January 2010
Polk-Burnett is taking one more step in our mission to continuously improve our ability to serve you, our members, with an improved electronic bill presentment and payment process. You will notice a few changes and we are still working to provide you many more features.
Differences include:
- USERNAME is now your email address that is registered with your account.
- PASSWORD is the same.
- STORED FINANCIAL INFORMATION: You have the ability to add credit/debit cards and checking/savings accounts and save them in your account for future payments without having to key in the information each time. You will find this under the left navigation "Financial Info" tab.
- RECURRING PAYMENTS: You can continue request recurring payments by sending in the Authorization Form under the Financial Info tab.
- OPT OUT OF RECEIVING PAPER STATEMENTS: it is easy to opt out of receiving printed statement by a click of a button. Check out the left navigation tab that says “Stop/Start Print Bill”. This will also include the monthly powerlines newsletter that you can read online.
- Check out Account List/Pay Bill to see your Bill Detail, Payment History and Billing History.
- VIEW PAPER BILL is the ability to view and download a copy of your paper bill. This is not available at this time. We are in the process of determining if we are able to convert your past statements into a printable file for you to print or save to your computer.
- FUTURE STATEMENTS will be available as your billing cycle is processed starting January, 2010.
- LOG OUT / UNSUBSCRIBE - You will find the log out and unsubscribe button on the left navigation bar.
Click here to go to the new Bill Presentation and Payment Process. NOTE: You should not need to enroll again in the new electronic service; your new Username will be your e-mail address and your password will remain the same.

Notice to Members Paying by Check - Checks will Likely Clear Your Bank Faster
**
Effective January 1, 2009, Polk-Burnett began processing checks in accordance with the
Check 21 Act that took effect October 28, 2004. The Check 21 Act authorizes banks and merchants to exchange electronic records of checks instead of the original paper copies. The original paper checks are destroyed. There will be an image of the check and that electronic image will serve as proof of payment. It is important for you to be aware
the speed of check clearing will increase due to electronic clearing between banks. The electronic method of processing checks means that
your checks will reach your bank faster and likely be paid sooner than they currently are.
